“I am a 21 year old and I started gardening just over a year ago when I lost my best friend Belle to cancer in the brain. I bought a really cheap polytunnel and started studying books to keep my mind off her, as to this day I am still grieving. Last Christmas my other half bought me my first polycarbonate tunnel (he’s definitely a keeper!) and after that I quickly expanded as I fell in love with growing.
I am fully organic, for my health and the wildlife of course and my whole family is plant based so nothing goes to waste. Apart from all the delicious fruit and vegetables gardening gives, it also always makes me present in the moment.
There are many many reasons why I love gardening and not many people my age are thinking about growing food, so I would love to inspire my age group to start!”
